Eastern Narrow-mouthed Toad (Gastrophryne carolinensis)

Eastern narrow-mouthed toads (Gastrophryne carolinensis) are a small species of fossorial, microhylid frog native to the southeastern United States. In the wild they feed primarily on ants however they take to pinhead crickets, flightless fruit flies, springtails, and other small inverts very well in captivity. We primarily feed ours pinheads and flightless fruit flies. 

Personally, I find these frogs make for endearing and interesting captives. A must have for any diminutive amphibian enthusiast in my opinion. 

Currently available animals are field-collected.
