American silver perch (Bairdiella chrysoura) are a small species of a drum that can be found in coastal waters from New York south to Mexico. This species frequents shallow waters and is commonly caught by inshore anglers although rarely targeted on purpose.
I have found silver perch to be very enjoyable and attractive aquarium inhabitants although they can be a bit sensitive.
Currently available animals are field-collected.
